Lake Rules & Guidelines

Please read and familiarize yourself with our lake rules before your visit. These guidelines ensure a safe, enjoyable experience for all anglers and protect our fish stock.

Important Notice

All anglers must read and agree to these rules before fishing. Failure to comply may result in immediate termination of your booking without refund. We operate a ZERO TOLERANCE POLICY for any blatant disregard of our rules.

📋 Booking & Payment

💰 Payment Requirements

  • IMPORTANT: Your booking is NOT confirmed until full payment is made
  • 50% deposit required when making a booking (NON-REFUNDABLE)
  • Full payment must be made within 21 days of arrival

👥 Visitor Limits

  • Maximum 4 anglers per booking
  • STRICTLY NO UNAUTHORISED VISITORS ALLOWED
  • For larger bookings, please contact us to make an enquiry

📝 Cancellation Policy

Cancellations must be made in writing to info@crabtreefisheries.com

🎣 Fishing Rules

🎣 Rod Limits

  • • Maximum 2 rods per angler
  • • STRICTLY no rods to be left unattended
  • • No rods to be left in the care of another angler

🪝 Rig & Setup Requirements

  • • Micro barbs permitted
  • • Anglers must be prepared to cut hooks with snips if required
  • • No barbed hooks
  • • No zig rigs
  • • Minimum 12lb breaking strain line to be used
  • • Maggots-worms can only be used from November 1st to the end of February
  • • Our bailiff may request to check rigs and bait being used

🌽 Bait Policy

  • • NO nuts or nut-based products
  • • All particles must have been prepared correctly
  • • Shelf life boilies are no permitted

🛠️ Equipment

  • • Nets mats and slings are supplied use of your own is not permitted under any circumstances
  • • Bait boats are allowed for hard to reach spots

🐟 Fish Care - Number One Priority

ALL FISH MUST BE RETURNED IMMEDIATELY. This is a strict catch and release fishery.

  • • All fish to be landed/netted and released using equipment provided
  • • We are very keen to get pictures of our newly stocked fish
  • • Please send all photos to info@crabtreefisheries.com
  • • Any snagged fish MUST be reported immediately
  • • Carp can be hold up in retaining slings for a maximum of 20 minutes
  • • Waders can used sensibly for landing, and returning fish.
  • • Please contact us when fish over 30lbs are caught

🏕️ Site Rules

⛺ Accommodation

  • • ONE MAN Bivvies only
  • • To be erected in swim areas only
  • • No caravans or motorhomes
  • • No open fires permitted

🚗 Vehicle Access

  • • All vehicles to park in fishery car park only
  • • Main gate must be closed and locked at all times
  • • All gates to be kept closed AT ALL TIMES
  • • No driving on grass

🔊 Noise Policy

  • • STRICTLY no loud noise or radios
  • • Respect our neighbours
  • • Keep peace and tranquility intact

🧹 Cleanliness

  • • All litter to be taken home by anglers
  • • We do not provide bins
  • • Clean up your swim
  • • Toilet must be kept and left clean

❌ Prohibited Items & Activities

Strictly Forbidden:

  • • Swimming or entering the water
  • • Boats or watercraft (except bait boats)
  • • Dogs or pets
  • • Disposable barbecues
  • • Open fires

WE OPERATE A ZERO TOLERANCE POLICY FOR ANY BLATANT DISREGARD OF OUR RULES. Violation will result in immediate expulsion without refund.

  • • Fish responsibly and safely
  • • Respect the fish, environment, and facilities
  • • Accept full responsibility for your actions
  • • Report any incidents or concerns immediately
  • • Keep the fishery location private

Liability: Crabtree Fisheries accepts no responsibility for injury, loss, or damage to persons or property. All visitors fish and use the facilities entirely at their own risk. Appropriate insurance is recommended.
